In total, almost 5 billion vehicles covering a combined time span of 3.8 years were detected.\u00a0Now, it is our pleasure to announce the publication of our <a href=\"https:\/\/utd19.ethz.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dataset for public research purposes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Our \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/utd19.ethz.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UTD19<\/a>\u00bb dataset mainly consists of measurements from 22\u2019820 loop detectors, making it the largest multi-city traffic dataset publically available. Traffic is recorded using vehicle flow and occupancy (or speed) in relatively small aggregation intervals, typically 3-5min. In addition, we geo-coded the location of all detectors and the associated roads in WGS84 coordinates making map matching as easy as possible. We welcome you to follow the best-practice of open data and thus recommend that algorithms and models developed with <a href=\"https:\/\/utd19.ethz.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UTD19<\/a> data are also made publically available. We are looking forward to feature on our webpage research using the <a href=\"https:\/\/utd19.ethz.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UTD19<\/a> dataset, thus please share your UTD19-based publications with us.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/utd19.ethz.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UTD19<\/a> traffic data is free for all research use.
