The aim of this elective course is to sensitize students about\u00a0the specific urban development and housing challenges in\u00a0the Global South. The concept of adequate housing will be\u00a0introduced as an analytical framework to assess the viability,\u00a0effectiveness, sustainability and cultural appropriateness\u00a0of different housing strategies and participatory methods.\u00a0A number of invited lecturers will present their projects or\u00a0field research based case studies from a number of countries\u00a0including Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil and India.<\/p>\n
