KELLER EASTERLING is an architect, professor at Yale, and one\u00a0of the most eloquent theorists of architecture and design.\u00a0In \u2018Medium Design\u2019 (Strelka Press, 2018) Easterling argues\u00a0that design tools are often inadequate to address contemporary\u00a0chemistries of power. Medium Design treats space as an\u00a0information system and a mixing chamber for social, political,\u00a0and technical networks. It inverts a typical emphasis on\u00a0object over field, in order to prompt innovative thought about\u00a0both spatial and non-spatial problems.
